Chocolate Cream Cookie Roll

This past Saturday, I made this dessert for a little get-together with friends. For how beautiful and yummy this dessert is, it’s surprisingly easy to make. Here are the ingredients:

  • 1 package Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers (this recipe is on the box!)
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • chocolate syrup (This was my addition and is totally optional.)

First, pour the cream into a large bowl and add the vanilla. I added enough chocolate syrup to make it look like chocolate milk.

Use an electric mixer and beat until you have whipped cream (or, in this case, chocolate whipped cream. Yum!)

Begin making stacks of cookies with cream spread between the layers.

Lay the stacks on their sides to form a rectangle on your serving platter.

I ended up with four stacks of about 10 cookies each.

Frost the entire thing with the remaining whipped cream.

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4-6 hours. The whipped cream soaks into the cookies and makes them soft and cakey. Before serving, I garnished mine with some chocolate curls.

If you slice it at a 45 degree angle it looks really pretty.

I’d say it was a hit since all but the very end was gone among four people!
